Full Moon. Wesak Festival of Universal Peace - celebration of the birth and enlightenment of Lord Buddha. Realizing the transient nature of life and all worldly phenomena, the Buddha has advised us to work out our deliverance with heedfulness, as 'heedfulness is the path to the deathless.' Albert Einstein said this of Buddhism: "Buddhism has the characteristics of what would be expected in a cosmic religion of the future. It transcends a personal god, avoids dogmas and theology; it covers both the natural and spiritual; and it is based on a religious sense, aspiring from the experience of all things natural and spiritual as a meaningful unity."*

Happy New Spin! Number 33 of the New Sirius Dreamspell count begun in 1987 (June 23). Begin Dragon Wavespell (1) of Birth, entry into the Red Eastern Castle of Turning, Court of Birth (52 -day cycle). Good day to study the Tzolk'in. Each side of the binary pattern consists of 26 units = 52. adding the numbers in sets of four, beginning with the corners and working inward, we find that the sums are always 28. This figure times 13 (the number 52 divided by 4) gives us a total of 364, the number of days in the 13-Moon year, showing how the 13 Moon calendar is embedded in the Tzolk'in.*
