CABAN
Red
Magnetic Earth
Like frozen Field
Or brittle Bough
I fold into my Self –
Life recedes
Falls far away and deep
–
Meadows underfoot
Bend, snap and sleep –
Life’s Spark
too faint –
Too weak for Light or
Heat
A Shroud upon myself I
take –
A Shell –
Eros hides
In my Insides –
Great granite Cliffs
Shield a rising Star –
Star of Rhythm and Fire
–
Earth’s crystal Heart
Draws the Moon around
Until the Sun
Just in Time –
Warms the barren
Ground.
