I sense the footfall of gentle Death
Dancing with Light and Peace---
Waiting upon Welcome
By nature, She is kind and shy---
Visiting but once
In our Lives.
Sweet Sleep---our Redeemer and Reward
We avoid and greet with protest---
Why mourn?
Cry instead an honest Tear
For terrible Loss and Fear
Let us praise and honor Death---
She the Vessel and sacred Ark
For our Escape from Nowhere
Into the Absolute Now Here.
