A Serpent turns---
Languorously undulating
Among Blossoms infinite---
The Flowers of all Nations---
She knows her Self
Sacred yet vilified---
Wise Mediator
Between Heart of Earth---
And Heart of Sky
Her Form---
Eternally reborn
Among deep Roots
Of the great World Tree---
When Opposites meet
Marry and merge
Power becomes Lightning---
Where Scales once lay
Now Eagle’s Wings
Ascend instead.
