We
escaped!
From
the city to a wide wild desert
We
escaped!
From
blaring cacophony
Into
silence and birdsong –
Sweet
liberation
I see
the mountains
With
eyes clear as glass
Now
am I calm –
Tall trees rustling
In the turquoise dusk.
