The Mayan 13 Moon Calendar celebrates the first day of the Magnetic Moon (first moon), on July 26. Each new year begins on July 26 and ends on July 24 of the following year. The day or Kin outside of time is July 25; it is called Green Day. The Maya consider Green Day to be a special day on which to prepare the soul, creating space for play, art, magic and creativity.
