 Design a Woman’s Soul

As she quickens with

The Life Force 

Formed by Destiny---

So do We.

Yellow Spectral Sun

The bluest blue Jay cries 

To Ruby-throated Hummingbirds

Whose tiny sunlit scarlet Throats

Dance 

 In grand extravagance---

Otherworldly, truly---

Grand Crows dip low  

Searching for Breakfast---screeching black

Messengers from an unseen Underworld

Guided by the gliding

Flying, dipping, darting

Drumming, thrumming, Hummingbirds---

Symbols of an over-arching Wing---

Hints of a Time sublime 

When I too will sing.

 Dismembered like Osiris

Am I---

Parts of me scattered

O’er Land and Sea 

A Lineage of Gods

And Goddesses

Precedes and supersedes me---

Dionysus, Orpheus---

Every sacred King 

Where is my Beloved?

Is she gone forever?

Is she willing to re-collect 

Me Piece by Piece?

Re-member me, my blessed Twin---

Redeem me out of Chaos 

Into Order

Into Peace!

Tissue thin

Pendants---Diadems

Inlaid with Jasper and

Red Carnelian---

Vases---Bowls---Cups

Sacred Vessels vibrating

With ancient Symbols--- 

Shells---Spirals---wild Goats

Great Bulls---Cuttlefish 

Rosettes---Chariots 

Dolphins leaping

Marble Goddesses' 

Fresh white Flesh and

Alabaster Arms akimbo---

Smooth---unbowed 

Though ten Thousand

Years they hold.

Flown the Arrow from the Bow---

Gone the small white Stone

Into a Strongman’s Forehead---

America removes 

Coils of Limitation, Cruelty---

War and Mayhem fade---

She rejects Repeats of History

Fascism---Corruption---Bigotry

An adolescent Nation ripens---

 Evolution races like the Stone---

Shock---Torpor----and Despair lift---

Conviction defeats the Unthinkable---

 Action takes a Turn and stark---

The Stone finds its Mark

Consciousness rises with the Sun

 Division and Evil die in Washington.

Yellow Resonant Warrior

“Cinderella”

I mop and sweep

I dust and weep

I scour, scrub and fill the Pail

I polish the Knives and Spoons and Forks---

I’m thin and pale

From Overwork!

I wipe and wash

I dry and try

To make my rough Hands soft 

I clean and iron

I hustle and bustle 

To chase the Dirt away---

I am tired and mired

In Cobwebs and Motes

Floating in vacuumed Air---

I clean the Silver

Hang out the Wash 

I bleach and then

Reach for More---

I straighten the Rugs

And change the Sheets---

Fluffing and folding---

Keeping Mice at bay 

Wait! Did I say Mice?

Hooray!

My Coach is on the way.

Singing up to Heaven
