 Red Rhythmic Dragon

I descend at the Height of Day

Mind awake –

 Spirit’s Eye wide open

I find dead my Maidenhead -

The Land of Love strewn with Bones

Dry white Skeletons sitting on Stones –

Life decayed and Care delayed

Turn Landscapes deathly gray –

 Wind blows through Bones –

Sounding moans both high and low

Torn Remnants of Delusion -

For Years and Generations

No Family here –

 Only Bones

Shame eats the Flesh of Love

A gaping Maw of guilty Acts

Consumes the Meat that might sustain us –

Furies - Harpies dive

To take the Smile from smiling Lips –

A Hand too frightened to caress

Hits hard and hits again

Hearts break open –

Red rage roars

Hear the Breeze

Blowing on Bones –

Too little Tenderness too late

Can neither stop the Wind

Nor alter Fate.

 Charcoal Arms

Reach past Amethyst

Through Blue

Beyond Blue –

Until a salmon

Pink Horizon

Sets the Sun.

My Rage is a black Sun

Burning without Surcease –

Never setting – never resting -

 Deep enough

To enter every Cell

My Heart beats red hot bloody wild –

A Cauldron of scalding Tears

Cannot wait to drop –

Wide and without Boundary

Is the Feeling

Fathomless – bottomless Pit

I dive through you into

Seeking sweet Death –

Cool, damp Darkness

Tempers my white Heat

I fall like a Fireball

Fueled by ancient Anger

Fused with furious Madness

Silently I scream

Grieving for Dreams

Lost – steeling myself

Against the relentless Power of Life

I hit – I die – It is no use

I am reborn.

I dance the Dance of Shiva

Pendant in mid-Air

Creating and Destroying

I make the tall grass quiver

I dance the Dance of Shiva

Mighty Soul on slender Limb –

In Solitude I weave a Pattern

Seen before the Gates of Eden opened

My Filament’s obscure

In the shadowed Night –

Silver threads invisible save

For Moon’s reflected Light –

Symmetrical and Perfect is my Form

Diamond lit with morning Dew –

I spin and waltz – I whirl and turn

Before my Dance is through.

Sing – blue Globe of Light

Sing all Day – sing all Night

These are less Reality

Than merely Shadow-Play

Sing – shimmering Earth -Soul

Sing of a Time just in Time

When the Voice of the Turtle

Is heard in the Land

Sing – holographic Hieroglyph –

Play out the Play which spins

The Fear of Death

Into the Death of Fear

Sing – Elements of Quintessential Peace

Music – Laughter – Joy – Grace

Sing until all Borders

Fade without a Trace

Sing – cerulean Jewel of Glory

Sailing down a Golden Dawn

Sing – sacred Ground – Sky and Sea

Sing – precious Pearl of Mystery.

In Gaia's Nest

A Serpent turns –

Languorously undulating

Among Blossoms infinite

The Flowers of all Nations –

She knows her Self

Sacred yet vilified

Mythic Mediator

Between Heart of Earth

Heart of Sky

Her Form

Eternally re-born 

Among deep Roots

Of the great World Tree –

When Opposites meet

Marry and merge

Power becomes Lightning –

Where Scales once lay

Now Eagle’s Wings

Instead Ascend.
