I sense the footfall of gentle Death

Dancing with Light and Peace –

 Waiting upon Welcome

 

By nature, She is kind and shy –

Visiting us but once

In our Lives.

 

Sweet Sleep – our Redeemer and Reward

We avoid and greet with protest –

Why mourn?

 

Cry instead an honest Tear

For terrible Loss and Fear

 

Let us praise and honor Death –

She the Vessel and sacred Ark

For our Escape from Nowhere

Into the Absolute Now Here.

To Luz – the Goal –

My Home of

Many Mansions –

 My Soul.

Grace embodied –

Flower of the dreaming Fields

On the vast horizon of Time and Space

Another Golden Age appears

In Hieroglyphic Grace.

In a Plenitude of Solitude, I sing –

Throngs of Bougainvillea stretch

Scarlet to the desert Sky –

Birdsong and Sunlight abound

 

Clouds sail by

Stately, serene –

Hummingbirds hover in Tangerine Trees

Lemons hang ponderous –

Bountiful and free –

Gifts from the Goddesses to me.
